Creating a Home You Love!

Learn basic design principles of home decorating to apply to your own home in regards to colour, arrangement, accessorizing. Easy inexpensive tips to customize what you have, to create a home that reflects your personality and way of life. Participants will learn quick ways to turn everyday decor into special and holiday occasion looks. Hands on projects, no sew decorating, simple paint techniques,
ways to add a wow look and make a home warm and inviting. Plus it will be lots of fun!

Dates: July 27-28 (12 hours total)
Times: 9am - 12pm & 1pm - 4pm
Location: New Brunswick College of Craft and Design
Workshop Fee: $140 + HST-REGISTER at www.edventures.ca
Note: Participants are encouraged to bring pictures, fabrics, paint chips, small accessories anything they want input with in regards to their home decor.

Day 1 Morning:  Discovering your Home, your style, principles of color, scale, arrangement and harmony. Creating a Style Storyboard to use as inspiration and a guide.

Day 1 Afternoon:  Where to begin, taking what you have and transforming or refreshing a space. Each participant will select a room they want to redo and we will put together a Room Plan using their Storyboard as inspiration.

Day 2 Morning: Learn easy ways to create window, wall treatments, accessories with no sew adhesives, fabric glues and paints, stencils. Pillows, draperies, chair covers and wall art. Participants will create a custom project.

Day 2 Afternoon: How to decorate for special occasions and holidays from everyday items.  Inexpensive and easy ways to create arrangements, tablescapes and unique touches throughout your home.
